Airing twenty-five years after the start of her senior year of high school, Ava starts her first day of fall semester 2025 at Purdue Fort Wayne. As she mentally prepares for senioritis by perusing through six syllabi and dreading her ASL III class, Ava flips between two weather forecasters: Liz Braden from 21Alive and Breeanna.

Caprice hisses, “Ah, ****,” and Ella demands parity as Ava tells them she will only be on campus for four days a week. Ella then proceeds to pilfer wet food from Caprice’s cat tree. Ava bribes Ella with wet food and assures Caprice that everything is going to be okay.

She then says the “shit that’s about to go down this semester” is like betting a billion dollars. Ava talks through winning outfits from her TJ Maxx haul and meeting her $300 electric bill with Breeanna halfway. She also catches up with old friends Cincade, Andrew, and Maddi from college and talks about her academic struggles with them.

Halfway through the episode, Ava announces she was diagnosed with coronary heart disease. She discusses her virtual meeting with her ASL professor and Purdue Fort Wayne’s CARE team with Breeanna. During this meeting, Breeanna, campus security guard George (through FaceTime), Caprice, and Ella were secretly present. Caprice then goes off about “testifying” on Ava’s behalf.

Ava goes on to confirm that she filed a federal complaint with the United States Department of Education as well as an internal complaint with Purdue Fort Wayne. She hopes that her 100% start on ASL III won’t be ruined.

Bree ends the episode by speaking to the camera. She stands up for Ava’s character, explains the context behind a viral ASL 2 assignment that Ava previously did, and says they are protesting and archiving life.
