The episode begins with Ava and Ella discussing the cold wave that’s expected to begin early that week. Ella soothes Ava and informs her that this cold wave will not be as big as previous storms they’ve had to battle. Caprice hides underneath the couch screaming because she did this exact thing in the pilot episode ” Come Out of Hiding.” Ava attempts enticing Caprice out numerous times using many methods. She finally sprays Caprice with a spray bottle who uproariously screams about being sprayed.
Local Fort Wayne 21Alive news updates on the cold wave start playing quietly in the background as Ava speaks on how Breeanna will be away for awhile during the storm. Ella starts whining about not getting any wet food and Ava notices Ella sounding pathetic and that something doesn’t seem right. Ava tells Ella she has to take a nap.
Ava watches college basketball during the cold wave and mentions how two of Breeanna’s (and one of North Carolina’s) rivals are going head to head. Caprice comes out of hiding because she wants wet food and bombards Ava with cuddles, annoyances, and laughs. Ava talks about how they got refunds from financial aid lately and how she was able to pay bills during the cold wave.
Caprice and Ava are both bored the following day. Caprice begins loudly whining at how squirmy she is becoming in Ava’s lap and growls when Ava pets her. Ava shows off her shirt that was delivered to her through Amazon. Caprice compliments Ava before telling her she better not curse her if Breeanna hears her wearing that shirt. Caprice thanks Ava for fixing her cat tree and Ava for not declawing her. Caprice states this when she is being entirely serious and not being sarcastic.
Part 1 concludes with Caprice curling up into Ava’s lap to take a nap. Ella hushes herself while sitting in Ava’s lap and Ava concludes the vlog with many more days of winter.
Part 2 starts with Ava ranting on how the cold wave is still occurring and news stations like WRTV 6abc Indianapolis are comparing this cold wave to the Blizzard of ’78. Ava also says she is off to a fantastic start at school, better than she’s had since kindergarten. She continues to apply more makeup and talks about her shirt and how this somehow gave her confidence for the new semester.
The following day Ava is editing video before she gets pet assaulted by Caprice and Ella. The camera cuts to them interrupting Ava singing to “How Long” by Ace. Caprice hides under the coffee table and Ella hops on her bed clawing at the curtains. Ava has difficulty filming while messing up the song.
Delivery sounds are heard and Ava opens the box. She orders a bunch of Indiana‑based popcorn seasonings. Ava pulls out a popcorn seasoning from Amish Country Popcorn and displays the flavors before making some Weaver Popcorn to taste test from Orville Redenbacher’s.
Both videos are connected by a montage of clips of Ava transitioning to the song “Perfect Way” by Scritti Politti.
The third segment is about punishing the pets. Caprice and Ella aren’t getting any wet food due to their attitudes. Ella proceeds to run around the room doing zoomies and Caprice screams like a nightmare come to life. Ava makes some Weaver popcorn with dill pickle and garlic parmesan seasonings from previously mentioned Berne, Indiana based Amish Country Popcorn. She comments that the popcorn smells very good. After tasting the popcorn Ava exclaims how dill pickle popcorn tastes like.
The episode closes with Ava telling Caprice winter storm has ended, Caprice thanks her. Ava then goes onto say Ella’s birthday is coming up so she already picked out gifts for them.
Part 3 kicks off with Caprice sympathizing with Ava on her wisdom teeth being extracted. Ava mock moans at Caprice before telling her she understands how Caprice feels because Ava had to get hers removed. Ava went missing teeth (she’s lost tooth #1, tooth #16, and tooth #17 in 2026 and tooth #30 and tooth #32 in 2005) and Ava goes on to list her missing teeth as she laughs about waking up at night gasping for air from her sleep apnea.
Caprice becomes gooey eyed and states that she loves spending her entire 5 years with Ava and they’ve been through so much. Caprice loudly exclaims how they moved around so much, how Caprice scratched Ava and all of the winter storms they’ve endured. Ella screams at Ava that she knows her birthday is approaching so what is Ava getting her. Ella slaps Ava for answering that question no.
Later that evening Ava displays her new TV stand. Caprice jumps back and fourth from pampering Ava to pestering her. A commercial comes on showing weather updates and states the cold wave will be concluding the next day. Ella giggles like she bruised her funny bone and Caprice verbally abuses the weather reporter for stating that.
The episode concludes with Ava presenting Caprice and Ella gifts. Caprice receives a new litter box and Ella was gifted an extra-large egg pet bed. Caprice prolongs a low yowl from the bed being too large for her and Ella jumps into hyper-mode. Ava consoles Caprice while Ella leaps off her lap.
